And a lot of what ended up in CL has much older roots. I see logior and friends in the MIT Lisp Machine manual but not in the Maclisp one. Maclisp does have a version of boole though.

Nobody would call it an "SDK" but I find the Emacs/Elisp documentation to be excellent both on the docstring level and the manuals. It has been refined over several decades, it is thorough, well written and very easy to use f

To me being able to keep the entire language in my head is invaluable. When working with Go for example I know that I can dive into the bowels of some library dependency and I will be able to read it and figure out how it works. This is bec

It didn't matter how good or bad it was, Windows was a toxic brand on mobile. A very large segment of potential customers was rejecting it off hand based on their desktop Windows experience. They may have been stuck with it on the desk

For me having to fix weirdly incorrect code is much more annoying than writing new code. Similar to the issue that I have with driver-assist tools: supervising a system that does ok much of the time but then does something batshit insane ev

Overloading Space, Tab and Enter to be used as a modifier when held means that you can't get auto-repeat on these keys and they are activated on-release instead of on-press, correct?

They have done just that with their Android based non-eink Kindle Fire line. They run their own app store and it's not great. Imagine having all the junk of the Play market but with most of the good stuff missing. The only reason I use

But that's always the story with Python isn't it. There is always this new way to do things that is so much better than all the previous ones. If only everybody was doing it the right way. At least until the next one comes along.
