I somehow fail to understand what this is, but am impressed by it nonetheless. Is this purely for animation designers with coding skills? I thought animation work is done in editors with even less code required usually, but for me as a deve

Oh and i want to add that VSCode actually created a lot of damage for me. There were multiple instances where i practiced a live coding session for some talk or other a day before and after arriving to the venue Code language support just

Language support in VSCode for Go breaks in unexpected ways after every update of Go, VSCode or any plugin involved. gopls has not helped at all so far. Golang or IntelliJ with the Go plugin just work. I have been trying to use Code instead

HN is an important way for me to keep up with new development technologies and methodologies, more so than any other single website i know. This has helped with my standing in the company i work at, since i usually know every technology peo

I think that standing up is actually really important! We use it to keep things short and focused, since everyone wants to get back to their work and can not do stuff while also taking part in the daily.

In my org dailies are mostly helpful and not a reporting tool. We work in project teams for our customers and are about 300 people. Also our agile approaches mostly work out well, but our whole organization is structured in a way that facil

For me in germany prime always has instant, rock solid 4k. Netflix also never stutters, but it starts with like 480p and gets better over time. Nevertheless the Netflix UI is far superior.

Does anyone know why the first deployment of the day needs to compile the whole codebase on all hosts? Stumbled over this part.

My guess is that the priorization is different - signal implements everything with a privacy first approach in mind, whereas telegram is not even encrypted by default (even Whatsapp does that AFAIK).

I agree with the points made, but want to make a case for JWTs for all service landscapes based on message queues, kafka or asynchronous communication. There the statelessness really shines.

I am from germany so this is at least not just a US thing. Isn't it well known that there are way more male IT people in all western countries?

Well both for that matter, but this is mostly due to my customers being very careful where they host their data, germany is a bit different in that regard i guess. Still i think that this is totally something that is missing! Maybe CMS Plu

I've been whishing for a CMS like that, but i would prefer something selfhosted though. Headless CMSes are not customer friendly at all.

I don't see a lot of cost associated with the duck typing-ish approach go takes with interfaces. Instead of passing an implementation directly (or even having it in the first place) you can develop with an interface from the get go. Ma
