If you're interested in detail of how it works, I wrote about it here: https://blog.picheta.me/post/the-future-of-social-media-is-h...

No humanity verification is perfect. 50% of people is already pretty good. Really governments need to do better here, and make it possible to do this type of verification using zero knowledge proofs.

This already happened in the iTunes era, didn’t it? My partner bought South Park episodes and songs and lost them all.

As a customer I can no longer support you. But as someone that has been in a similar situation to you, I understand it's tough to end up building something big with someone who's politics you do not agree with. I would seriously u

What do folks use to keep on top of new model releases that are appropriate to their system? i.e. the models that will actually work on the MacBook Pro with 48GB of RAM or whatever their specs are. I've seen sites here and there but th

I've been running it on my 48GB MBP too and it's not particularly great. Super slow and not near enough to the quality provided by even Claude Sonnet.

Twenty dollars? How are you comfortable spending that much to write something as simple as a matrix bot? Are people doing this kind of thing just super rich or am I missing something?

Is this just basically a bountysource? or are there ways to give projects tokens without just sending them money?

I don't mind this, what I do mind is that there is still no way to verify my identity without giving private information to third parties. Why aren't governments building zero knowledge proof-based solutions to this?

Funny example, because many argue that stopping the war on drugs would solve a lot of problems.

A lot of reporting seems to state that it's only for "high risk social media". Is that the case? Are they really picking and choosing which social media they will ban for under 16s?

I’m getting more and more convinced that we will end up running LLMs in our personal computers. Which makes me wonder where Anthropic/OpenAIs moats will come from.

Curious why you went for a custom solution. I am aware of at least one company that seems to ship devices with local computer vision (Reolink).

In many ways it already has a corporate sponsor (and has had it for many years now). It's actually the company that built this framework.

Doesn’t seem like it is in the same adoption realm. I wasn’t aware Ghostty was written in Zig and I’m not aware of any Nim project ever reaching the heights of Ghostty (or indeed Bun). Plus as others state, Zig is still pre-1.0. Things do l

I'm curious where this leaves Zig. Bun was the most prominent and biggest project using it. What's left?

Great! An excuse to play again. My favourite way to play it is using `ssh nethack@nethack.alt.org`. Don't even have to install it. Though it seems it hasn't received this update yet.

Isn’t the real danger now not the ability to find security vulnerabilities, but rather, the ability of anyone to ask an LLM agent to rewrite your open source project in another language and thus work around whatever license your project has

Yep, precisely this. There are many languages out there that would have remained niche if it wasn't for a company sponsoring their development. Go is one of those. Rust too, and it just barely managed to get the critical mass it needed

Sad to see this. I had so much fun implementing a http server (called httpbeast) from scratch to get as far up these benchmarks as possible. I do agree with others here that it was possible to game them, but it still gave a good indication
