Eh, I've listened to hundreds of his episodes. Some are good for a laugh, some have interesting guests and I learn a thing or two, some I can't make it through. Not everything has to be a text book. What exactly is the problem? I

Consider, for a moment, how much value a company like Uber gets from the Google Maps API.

You sure are difficult. There is a non-trivial set of text that is both valid JSON and a valid python dict. Many people would consider the two very similar.

There is a world of software outside of useless saas/web shit-ware where you don't have to deal with overzealous SV enthusiasm.

I think you are purposely mis-interpreting me. Python dicts are practically, syntactically identical to JSON. Yes, python dict values can be any python value the same way JSON in JS can be any JS value. Point being, someone coming from pyth

I believe it is a current law of physics that even the propagation of information is limited to the speed of light. So, no.

I think you are missing my points. This language feature cannot be used to eg, create a TCP header. It has nothing to do with the C++ ABI. And no, bit packing is not for memory saving, eg MISRA disallows bitpacking for the purpose of space

Unfortunately this cannot be used to pack an integer that is sent over the wire or to produce a register for a hardware peripheral. Basically this is not a valid substitution for most use cases of bit packing and can only be used to save a

Is it wrong to use google to get to duckduckgo? I would describe this situation as ironic but fail to see how ethics come into question. We have no such obligation to the products we use.

I have to disagree with you here. Psychedelics help people - the idea that they should only be taken by individuals who are in a 'good' place is missing so much of the point IMO. I began experimenting with psychedelics during the

It's like evolution. Why does some weird, seemingly useless creature exist? Because it fills some crack in the ecological economy. Someone was willing to buy this piece of shit and that is explanation enough for its existence.
