I don't think you're going to hurt anyone's feelings if you accept any email address and let folks specify their school Agreed. I attend a Jr. College that doesn't give email accounts to its students (or if it does, I was never informed).

Congrats on the kiddo, you guys! Mine is 6 months old already, and let me tell you: what a ride it's been! Also looking forward to having the additional opportunity per year to apply to YC. :)

Same as last year... - Lose weight - Learn C - Don't waste (too much) time - Get shit done I did pretty well on the last two in 2008. Hopefully I can keep it up while making the first two happen.

I would gladly be the guy who "created the popular iPhone fart app" if it netted me $10,000/day for even a week. That'd be plenty to live off of for several months while I built something better.

I've always wrestled with the whole Science vs. Religion issue, and my conclusion is that we shouldn't necessarily question either group, but the debate itself. Why can't Science and Religion complement each other? I don't believe in the 7-

I play WoW 10-15 hours a week with the wife, in-laws, and other IRL friends. It's a great family activity and helps me keep in touch with friends from high school that now live hundreds of miles away. I also put in ~50 hours/week into my jo

I generally take long showers (sometimes 45mins+), and this is exactly why. I just stand there in the water and think. Some people think it's weird, but there's no better time to design software or work over a problem you're having.
