It's a static site running on GitHub pages, over HTTPS, directly out of a linked repo so you can examine the source code. I literally could not imagine a more transparent way to serve this application. The only way an attack vector is

A certain set of people take enormous pride in using unstyled HTML like this. (See "Motherfucking Website" [0]) The problem is it's not 1994 anymore, monitors are no longer 800 pixels wide, so it looks like shit and is imposs

Cool homage to the original, but I think not displaying the full city upon first load (and using fog to obscure out-of-view parts) diminishes the appeal to potential advertisers. Who would want to buy a building out in the corner? Maybe the

Warby Parker's purchasing/CS experience is incredible and I've been buying from them for at least 8 years now. But I think I may try one of the more corporate brands next time because I've just never been very satisfied

Pretty sure clicking on the right-side of the mouse has activated secondary click by default all the way back to the Mighty Mouse (2005), no? Even if not, it's one checkbox to enable it. You don't need a keyboard to right-click, t

Perhaps we should think about establishing a public listing of checksums for important texts? Not sure exactly how it would work, you'd probably only want to run it against the main text so there would remain some flexibility for chapt

Yes! The Genius Bar experience has been terrible (especially as a somewhat socially anxious person) the past few times I've been there. A lot of sitting while constantly busy employees buzzed around, unsure if I was waiting in the righ

I agree with the author's premise, and would go even go further and say that nothing should ever be able to steal focus from a user's active application. Ever. In any OS.

You can sync playlists of local files from a desktop to a mobile device, I believe. It's definitely a little clunkier than the direct uploads that some other streaming services provide, though.

I'm in a similar spot - you can also stream the MP4s from archive.org as a workaround (they're usually linked on the lecture's OCW page.)

There was a time where I would have strongly related to this. Thankfully, now I've started using pipenv whenever possible and it basically just works(TM). I hope it becomes the standard going forward.

There hasn't really been a must-have iPhone hardware feature since Touch ID. The faster speeds of newer models are nice, but for the vast majority of people, anything back to a 5S is perfectly adequate. And that's a good thing - e

You know how some F2P games will allow you to watch video ads in order to e.g. earn extra in-game currency, activate a point multiplier, etc? As it stands, you can start one of these ads and then turn your phone upside down, or look away. H
