C++ developers don't make their own event loop. They use epoll which is provided by the kernel. That is still the area the C/C++ ( and Rust ) have over Go, they can use syscalls without requiring the goodwill of one of the languag

Having never used this specific product I can't makes claims about any of its functionality, but what I have found is the gap between what one _can_ do, and what people _do_ is very very large. Yeah you can implement all this yourself

That I can agree with. I don't often ride long distance rail because even on the Northeast line which is I think the line with the highest ridership you often have to stop for freight trains and other trains.

If you look at Washington DC's metro its pretty much the same QoS as you get off the Berlin metro. So I am not quite sure how its considered "primitive" Berlin - 4 - 5 minute trains DC - 6 minute trains Berlin - 9 lines, 170

I am curious as to why. The underlying systems have only gotten more reliable and faster then they were 10-15 years ago. 10-15 years ago writing to disk was actually _more_ of a challenge then it is now with SSD's that have zero seek t

Awesome news. I have used Rethink for a few internal projects and while I don't think it has that one "killer feature" that other DB's don't it is such a painless experience in development and deployment that makes

So I haven't looked into all the metrics that they are getting off of PCP but from an initial glance it doesn't look like they are getting a lot more information then you get off net-snmp. In this one case the windows platform isn

This may come as a surprise to some, but there are lots of people who don't think Indian food is delicious. I would be really interested if scientists have distilled something as subjective as your pallet and refined it to a formula.
