This looks great, going to play around with it when I get home. Does it still present the fundraising banners?

Signal doesn’t curate feeds and act as a radicalization engine in the name of “engagement”. Facebook is a blight on society, even in the United States and UK you can feel it’s impact.

Algorithmically tailoring feeds is not passive.

Facebook is a radicalization engine. It is designed to reinforce existing beliefs and preferences in order to increase engagement. In this case the beliefs were virulently racists and bigoted, and the engagement was usually done with a mach

And they should get every penny. I was living in Bangladesh while this was happening and ended up volunteering at one of the refugee camps. The people there were very aware that the mobs were being organized on Facebook. Later while working

Just in time for millenials to start thinking about retirement. In all serious though, my family does not age well and I have actively thought about this as an end of life option vs decades of mental degredation. I doubt it will ever be ava

It really does boil down to a bunch of ignorant hot takes thrown around to convince each other that they are morally superior for maintaining an uninformed skepticism presented in bad faith.

Uniswap, pancakeswap, 1inch, apeswap, sushiswap, traderjoes, Crono, quickswap, paraswap and those are just off the top of my head. All of these projects have hundreds of million to billions in tvl and have been running fine for years. Dexes

Commercially viable quantum computation immediately comes to mind. I am by no means an expert, although if I was younger and still in school it would be my area of focus.

This is laughably false and easily disproved by even a cursory search of who is putting time and money into this space.

Most of these people will be working on and investing in web3 backed projects within 5 years. There is a lot of effort being made to discredit web3 because existing players are aware that it means a loss of control.

Polygon has become my go to chain over the last 6 months. Even during yesterday’s crash I was able to execute trades at reasonable gas prices (<$1). I’ve developed a couple of dapps that run on polygon, and while the docs could use some

Yeah most of these posts start with a straw man and try to work their way backwards from there. What I think it really boils down to is that web3 represents a shift away from the centralized dystopian organizations that employ most of the p

They just create walled gardens instead. Pinterest is a great example of how organizations put business interests ahead of building an accessible web.

For a pretty great introduction on how to structure the FE of a web3 app I would take a look at PancakeSwaps GitHub, they have open sourced almost all of their code and it is pretty well written. Many projects start as clones of that repo.

I feel at this point reminiscing about a time when the web was actually designed to be usable isn’t really productive. Some of the largest companies on the planet are actively opposed to this concept. If you care about this kind of thing ch

Honestly this community is just an echo chamber of bad takes when it comes to web3. Kind of hard to recognize a problem when your salary is dependent on propagating it.

I think you are starting with an incorrect assumption and trying to work your way backwards from it. If you want more mature examples of this structure in the wild I would start with pancakeswap ($4b market cap) and apeswap ($500m market ca

That’s a very googleable question, but in a nutshell it is a series of smart contracts that reward token holders for holding a staking a token. It incentivizes investors to buy and hold instead attempting to trade the asset and create unwan

They launched the token and farm, it was their fundraising mechanism for the project and it is still ongoing. Its for a game with play-to-earn mechanics, still early phase but they just made a ton of big hires.
