I had a proof of concept for us to migrate sites to a static / low / no cost hosting option. They were unwilling to spend time "training" the team to learn react (in 2020). They were unwilling to let their senior FE dev

You have internalized the disrespect of management in that "laziness" is bad. When you get injured, you have to rest to recover. Burnout is kinda like that but there's no blood, scabs or physical pain you can identify. Either

I tried to go this route with a work computer and had a lot of pain with WSL2 with Win10. Hopefully the latest versions of windows fix these issues. Too many to detail, I can only say I'm on a very locked down, managed version of windo

I completely agree with your sentiment but it makes me wonder why we pay for insurance at all. It's a complete scam. Pay money monthly to a company "in case" something bad happens. Then when you need to collect, you are treat

Lack of empathy is what causes the hubris (stupidity?) that would lead one to believe the person who built the system is expendable. I have also been in a job where once the project reached a certian point I was fired. They gave me a song a

It is simple in theory but messy in practice People are bad at identifying bad behavior in themselves, but they can sometimes see that same behavior when others exhibit it. Whether they can then put this together into genuine introspection
