Definitely agree. We pretend it's an economic issue to have universal health care, but really it would help our economy in so many ways. The only ones it's an economic downer for are the insurance companies.

Glad to hear it. Of course not, but companies need to be smart about it. Make sure the same people work the same shifts together, that way if one of the employees in a shift tests positive, you can isolate and test the others in the shift

If they're essential to society, do you support free medical care for all the employees who get sick during this time? Do you support paying for the ongoing costs of an employee that suffers the rest of their life due to complications

Funny, but that's not the question I asked. I'm not trying to start a fight here, I simply asked for evidence that the unions are "strong" as you said. For my side, I guess I could point to the fact that Walmart workers

I appreciate you taking the time to reply, but this is hardly proof. It's all anecdotal. I was hoping you might provide some articles or citations backing up your point.

Investors have traditionally not taken this sort of thing into account, focusing only on the profits. Although, I have read articles saying new generations refuse to invest in certain sectors, such as the military industrial complex (compa

Do you have any proof of "grocery stores already have strong unions"? Genuinely wondering how you've concluded this.

Not sure if it will really cleanse us of companies like this. We've been through terrible depressions before, and sociopath companies seem to always make a comeback. Based on other countries, it looks like the real way to cleanse us o

Let's suppose you're right, and that 100% (or even 50%) of those getting unemployment for the next 4 months will sit around since getting a job might end up meaning less money. Genuinely curious what you would want to do instead?

You're right that it's about government preparedness, but how do we expect a government that's all about protecting the profits of the insurance industry to have the best interests of the citizens in mind? We're in the m

I guess this is good news for me, since I grew up with parents who chainsmoked indoors. I wish there was some way to make such a thing illegal, other children shouldn't have to grow up how I did.

I'm a bit like you. I'm very much so a self starter (maybe I'm assuming a bit there), an avid reader, and I grew up in a situation I wouldn't wish on anyone. I turned out more than alright, but like you said, it's

Even people with "nonworthless" degrees that get hired have a hard time paying off their debt. I was lucky enough to get out of college without debt and into my engineering job. The way we educate children in school is predatory

It's more that 3 strikes can happen all at once. The justice system isn't fair by a long shot. Hardly anyone is charged with a single crime, so usually the 3 strikes happen through a single instance.

3 strikes is a lie as a policy though. You can get in trouble once and use up all three strikes if they do separate charges. Don't fall for it.
