I love seeing highly niche little social networks like this one.

This site is quite illegible if your system is set to prefers dark theme.

That's a cool idea. There are so many interesting projects on GitHub that are incomprehensible without a ton of domain context.

Not a chance in the world these are real. The entire page is clearly 100% AI generated.

I would argue it makes you a better citizen by not falling prey to the emotional manipulation that all of the news sources blast us with non-stop. There is enough hate and anger in the world and the constant stoking of those flames is doing

And design too. I shouldn’t be able to tell Claude designed your site/app, but it is too often the case. Good taste still remains an advantage thankfully.

This is a tangent, but man the world of traditional news sites must be really suffering. I've been noticing more and more that have this model where you can't see anything until you pay up. I have to assume they've tested it

The keyword in what they wrote is "demonstrating". You do still need to advertise what you've done.

When people talk of life extension and us eventually achieving immortality, it is always "relative immortality" though. Maybe we develop the technology to regenerate our bodies and we could live for thousands of years. Maybe we ca

Who cares what the average person will go through and do though? We’re each responsible for ourselves and how we choose to go about life, even if vastly differs from the general population.

They ban drones and remote-controlled aerial devices, but nothing about RC ground-based devices or robots.

Yes, we're looking for some other human sharing something interesting. There is no requirement to put things out into the world. So when somebody shares something to a discussion board like HN the hope is that if I'm going to sp

It depends on what you're building and if you're trying to build a business, or just make a few bucks on the side. If you're trying to build a business, your decision to open source it should be in service of that goal. Is it

Yeah personally I’d much rather read a poorly constructed article with actually interesting content than the same content put into the formulaic AI voice.

Props to them for actually updating their status page as issues are happening rather than hours later. I was working with claude code and hit an API error, checked the status page and sure enough there was an outage. This should be a given

Why do you suppose we come to HN if not for actual insight? There are other sites much better for getting an endless stream of weighted amalgamations of human content.

Some will blindly dismiss anything using them as AI generated, but realistically the em-dash is only one sign among many. Way more obvious is the actual style of the writing. I use Claude all of the time and I can instantly tell if a blog p

Maybe these new releases bring some serious enhancements, but my experience with the Gemini cli has been dreadful. It craps out at least half of the time. When it works it is ridiculously fast so I keep trying it. But it has proven very inf

What an insane statement. What compels anyone to write an opinion piece? They have an opinion and want to share it! Why in god's name should someone have to be invited to share their opinion, on their own website no less.

I’m in the same camp. Unread vs read is all I need. Also it’s funny when I’m with someone from the “inbox zero” camp and they get stressed seeing my 6-figure inbox count.
