Yes but Evangelion is so massive and popular it'd be enough to sustain a studio. Gainax does not have the rights to NGE though. They only produced the original series back in the 90s. Hideaki Anno literally setup a brand new studio spe

Additionally, "Ozempic" (semaglutide) has become the blanket word to describe an entire class of drugs (GLP-1 Agonists) that all kind of do the same thing. Some of which have already been proven in clinical trials to be even more

Just curious, I was filling out my profile and it says Education History required. Normally that means college experience. I only did one year at a local community college. Should I just put that? My cofounder is attending a well respected

Don't new iPhones not even have physical SIM trays? And T-Mobile also lets you lock your number so it can't be ported out.

This is where I feel both good as a consumer but I understand why companies are so disincentivized to make good products now. I'm still on my M1 MBP from when they launched in Fall 2021 and I feel like I could use this thing for anothe

In my experience, the nags aren't really that bad. But you're right about installing applications. With the upcoming sideloading and app store changes, that might change and these devices will remain useful for longer.

As a fellow Daniel, the spelling doesn't deviate much but the diminutives do. I live in Mexico and it's Dani here and in many Spanish speaking countries. I go by Dan and that form is pretty much never used so it causes a lot of co

This is actually a common misconception, but you don't have to sign into an Apple ID to setup any device (except maybe the watch? But definitely not phones or tablets.) You have the option to skip the step. I think people just assume

I think that's the problem is that it's different on a case by case basis. For example, a book I bought for Kindle on Amazon was recently taken off the store. But I am still able to download and access the book. It sounds like in

This is one of those issues that I really see both sides of. I think it's unreasonable to expect a company to be able to provide the ability to download content you bought once in perpetuity. Because it costs money, and companies shut

You could literally just remove the s.gif (assuming s stands for "spacer" which is a very very old school web development technique) since the text would give implicit height anyways. <td bgcolor="#000000" align="

Like others have said you don't need to have the application itself be a container locally. As long as it builds properly to an image it's fine. The only local container I use is one for a DB.

It's really unsettling that I routinely find out that major services I rely on are down from Hacker News. And the frequency with which these outages happen. Yesterday was Github.

I vastly prefer to read comics digitally on a tablet. It preserves the fidelity of the artwork much better and there are great apps like Panels that allow a lot of customization to the experience. Having physical copies of all the manga I r

Man I'm kind of a bag snob but even pricier brands that differentiate on quality and worker wages are not $400. I got a Tom Bihn Synapse backpack for around $200 in 2017 that I've traveled to many countries with and has been throu

Because there are high quality alternatives that are free and have no DRM there's no price point I would buy it. The only scenario I would is if I wanted to read a specific translation. A physical copy if I wanted one I'd be willi

Yes basically. I understand if a publisher commissioned a translation and put in work but $10 for a DRM digital copy is too steep. Maybe $3-$4 would be reasonable? Crime and Punishment was written in the 1800s, the author is long dead. And

I've often had this thought myself. It's the simile I've used to explain Eva to people who don't know anything about anime. But then I think about some of the things in the series and movies and it's incredibly hard

This could be a cool monetization strategy. I don't really read physical books, but the "classics" on Amazon are often complete ripoffs. Here's Crime and Punishment for $10 just to get the Kindle version: https:/&#
