We use it in our native mobile applications (iOS / Android) for over a year now. It make a lot of sense, improved the codebase maintainability and reduced the number of bugs.

Switched our entire native app stack to a redux backend (Swift and Kotlin), never been happier. Sure there is more code in the end, but the decoupling and simplicity to use is just too good. Especially on iOS when you know how complex it i

Did you used SceneKit, or UIKit dynamics, or is the physical effects are homemade/keyframe animations? Very well done! Edit: On a second thought I would see myself doing it as UICollectionView with a custom layout.

I don't want to advance anything (don't have time to find the source), but I think Apple have something special built in Safari/Webkit for Netflix. That relate to decoding, quality and battery combustion while streaming.

So you can add/update them without doing an .ipa/.apk update ? Seems really convenient, and a one time deal if it's cached.

Game are still native. If you take Unity or Unreal engine 4, as of today it compile against metal for the Mac/iOS renderer. So yeah, actually game development is ahead of applications in term of crossplatform dev.

It's amazing you mention that, I have amblyopia, but I actually learnt about that name into my late twenties. I always had a lazy eye (had an operation when I was 4, but did nothing...), so that lazy eye never properly developed, it ha
