one cool consequence is that twitter-using consumers will be slightly more empowered to give feedback to companies. it's only a matter of time before social and environmental grassroots aims become just as important as boardroom bottom line

it's hard to tell what 'amazed' and '"patched"' mean. rather, it's hard to know what you're saying and with what overtones. are you sharing a fun joke or being rude? i think you might be downvoted for perceived sarcasm/meanness. it could be

It seems like an easy question of efficiency to me. Can passion scale to large corporations? I don't think so, though perhaps large complex systems can be abstracted into a hierarchy of simply modules. THe solution is not performance review

A good friend on mine interned there. Let me pose something to HN that he posed to me: 90% of my job was to get users to consume more. Is that ok because we're offering a good (cheap, convenient) service or is it slimey?

The problem with this approach is that it substitutes good somewhere else for badness here and now. I like craigslist. I like the honesty, the local-ness and the community. It is useful to me. I have never encountered scammers or slimers
