https://gohugohq.com/howto/compare-date-strings-in-hugo/ This was a useful site for deeper exploration into the syntax. Sometimes, it's just trial and error.

Hugo is, IMHO, one of the best, most versatile options out there for an SSG. I've been using it since v0.15 (now at 0.37). I use it for a simple, mostly text, blog ( https://kar.ai ). I also use it for an image-heavy company

Did it buzz and/or light up? Isn't that just as distracting? Would a phone on silent/vibrate only mode offer the same convenience?

A lot of people on this thread have praise for Pebble watches. I never owned one or any of its current competitors. Always got a a gimmicky feeling from those types of devices (i.e. no real added value over a regular watch and smartphone).

All useful, thanks. Two questions: 1. What does tag manager do that simple analytics can't? 2. What is the lowest traffic amount needed to effectively A/B test?

Good advice. Where have you found good marketers that you can engage on a long term? A few marketing companies I've talked to are either (1) we'll write a blog post for you every month for $100 or (2) pay us $60K a year and we

This is a helpful list, thanks. I've read traction as well, and am currently using the Bullseye Framework [0] with some success. At the end of it, it still feels a lot like " throw stuff against the wall and see what sticks "

I agree, but in the beginning, I've found that knowing the basics goes a long way. I learned to program to build a product, and learning the basics of online marketing follows the same vein.

It'd be interested to know what percentage of WordPress sites are 'content-only' static sites. i.e. users are not logging and/or getting personalized content. WordPress seems overkill for that niche, and this may be an o
