Pop_os! has done a lot for user experience (install and use), trending closer to macOS. I do see efforts being made towards capturing desktop users.

Yes! I feel that too. Recently, I moved from the Bay Area to midwest city where family and some friends live, and have a 3 week old. I plan to build a homestead in the coming years, transitioning from an office job to working on the land --

I haven't done one, but a close friend has done Vipassana [1] a few times, which are free [2] in the USA. They run on donations and are 10 days of silence and meditation. 1. https://www.dhamma.org/en-US/courses

I'm a few months ahead of you -- I have a 3 week old daughter. I don't have much to add at the moment, except to expect a constant barrage of (often unsolicited) advice from well-meaning family and friends. I'm learning to ta

We use Netlify and Hugo for our company site, which also shows our 'real-time' inventory. In reality, I have a python script that grabs our inventory from our internal ERP system, generates a hugo site and redeploys to Netlify eve

I'm not in this position, I've thought a fair bit about it since it's in the realm of possibility. This is what I'd like to believe I would do: Buy 30yr Treasury Bonds with enough of the cash to generate ~$200K/year
