Totally biased w/r/t this conference, but the venue is amazing, and the after-party looks like it will not disappoint.

I for one love the idea and would gladly pay $20 for access. Chas is a great teacher so I have little doubt the quality of content will be spectacular.

Very funny. I especially enjoyed the wheelbarrows of money slide. I have one lagging question I can't seem to find an answer for: Where can I register a .xxx domain?

Small web businesses are only boring if they aren't challenging norms in what constitutes a small lifestyle web business. There is always room for innovation and ideas even if it's not the next Facebook. It's like you say: Someone has to

Complexity comes in many flavors. One of those flavors is mutable state. Reducing that makes OOP better. You can have your meta meta, and still be sane in your reuse of existing code. Keep the object abstraction, just limit it's scope o

I used this to impress my friends. The ones who are into "basketsball" were dumbfounded when I presented a complete sporty flowchart like I was one of the gang. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yW7OPByRGDY

Avoiding a lot of the discussion here to make a quick but important observation: I suggested in a comment I believe I posted here months ago that Apple would add its "Reader" to the iOS platform. This is a calculated move on Apple's part to

I really dig a lot of the ideas in this app but find the UI to be a bit confusing. I'll take a step back and say that many of the ideas in twitterfall are ideas we've considered adding to VoiceRally. Twitterfall is a great app and I'm elate

This app is certainly not the first of its kind, but it's interesting to see a more localized example of social media uniting people in protest. When the protests in Iran were happening I don't think I was convinced of Twitter's effect on

I've been a casual observer of plan9 and inferno-os for more than a couple of years, and while I understand why there is not a great deal of mainstream support, it would be nice to see things like acme live and grow on more of the standard
