It will be supported for another year or two so there's time to wait a bit to see what Apple does. An Xr Mini would be an instabuy for me even if they would price it around US$700.

That's a pretty horrifying story about those push notifications. The biggest use case of my customers for creating native apps around web apps for iOS is push notifications, that's immensely huge for businesses. Losing push notifi

The RAM is user serviceable on the new Mini. The drive might be soldered this time but even the 2014 still allowed you to replace it so I am cautiously optimistic that the iFixit teardown will reveal it to also be replaceable. Which makes t

I come from business programming in Swift (the usual CRUD API based stuff) and for me I completely get lost reading this once the formulas kick in. I have this problem as well when reading about more theoretical algorithm articles. Usually

Well US companies don't ask for details that could give away your age. I mean removing the date of your graduation and only including the last 10 ("relevant") years of your experience is not a crime in any sense. I don't

I bet they're trying all kinds of crazy stuff to make their phones look newer than 5 years old while not copying the notch they have been mocking in their own commercials. The only thing I can think of is a pop-up camera (done already)

They killed it when they decided it would be a good idea to inflate user numbers with YouTube and Gmail users. It's better to have less but active users than a ghost town.

It doesn't harm but just watching at all really helps. I usually wait a few seconds before opening the door. Actually more concerned about other cars driving off my door, Dutch streets tend to be more narrow to begin with.

I'm always using the Dutch Mirror which is that shiny reflective thing attached to the driver's door which I cleverly abuse to see if something is coming from behind before I get out of the car. I've been testing it a lot in

I did notice that a lot of Objective-C's uncertainties were paved over when the years passed. Most libraries feel a lot more Swift-y but there are some problems and it's a pity that Storyboards are one of them. I hope they'll

They should give you a native macOS storyboard that works with your iOS code. iPad apps used to have separate storyboards too, I think that lead to a lot of rethought applications instead of just stretched up. Working with different size cl

Given the maturity of iOS it's not unexpected to see the uptake of Swift so slow. Though it's lacking a "total binaries" number. Swift is a great language to work in.

I guess the same can be said for AMD's x86_64 CPU's? Still it's fair to compare them to Intel x86_64 CPU's. The big difference is that ARM has something like a reference design where Intel doesn't want to share anyt
