Would be interesting to hear his opinion on this. It's awesome anyway that all of the source is just in the open. I often use it as a sanity check for my own code when I'm dealing with messaging and VoIP.

This is what is confusing about this article anyway. You used to be able to run your VoIP application in the background all of the time. This has been closed for longer. But WhatsApp and Facebook are really old apps, supporting pretty ancie

Not being able to lurk in the background does not have anything to do with security. I don’t think Signal uses it and they’re generally considered secure. You can check out their source.

I liked the way the UI was built in Flutter and of course Dart > vanilla JS. But with SwiftUI and Jet Pack around the corner there's a bit less appeal, especially since Kotlin & Swift > Dart and a lot of UX niceties come for

I work mainly with Swift nowadays and some stuff like String handling is way more complex than in other languages like C#. Since I'm not doing a lot of series-of-characters manipulations in my daily work I need to rely on Google and a

I find public WiFi without password unhygienic just like the average pub toilet or an internet café Windows XP computer. I might get away fine using them but I always feel a bit dirty afterwards. Paid for an unlimited 4G plan just to not ha

The worst thing about 10x devs is that some of them work in places where the process or general dread reduces them to 0.1x to 1x developers.

This article doesn't feel like an attack on C++ but rather C++ written by incompetent people.

I had a low end one like 7 years ago and I was pretty happy with it. The integrated graphics were way better than Intel had back then and it worked pretty well with that GPU accelerated UI Windows got starting with Vista.

It's still true people were using a lot of bicycles even when there were a lot of cars in city centers. They were just more prone to get an accident with a car as cars were allowed to drive faster and basically could come everywhere. W

It can be a bit overwhelming during rush hour though, two way bicycle traffic of multiple cycles next to each other going at different speeds. Makes crossing Vredenburg almost like a real life game of Frogger on foot.

I'm a bit out of the loop regarding C#, but I don't remember having trouble finding what I needed in .Net itself. MSDN was bad back then but StackOverflow has been an excellent resource for C# from the beginning.
