Sometimes I think… What if this is just human evolution at play? After hunter-gatherers, humans became sedentary farmers and herders. Imagine if psychology was a thing back then. There would have been so many papers on how this shift was ch

Poor people can’t afford a slow, boring life in the United States. That’s a luxury reserved for the rich.

As a long term Mac user who works on ROS a lot I hear you. Most people here think local dev means developing a React app. Outside of mainstream web frameworks Mac sucks for local dev.

This is the story American billionaires tell poor Americans every day. Those lazy Europeans may have it good now, but just you wait another 10 years. That affordable healthcare? There won’t be a doctor left! All those parents having a year

Yeah sure, because life in the USA is so much more awesome than in Europe. Naww, they can keep their relevancy in the world stage. We are good over here living in the "stone age".

As a European, I much prefer technological stagnation over technological progress that is harmful to society.

Wow, I was skeptical at first, but the result was pretty awesome! Congrats! Cool product. Feedback: I tried making a product explainer video for a tree planting rover I’m working on. The rover looked different in every scene. I can imagine

I love Django. I still reach for it for most projects. I really wish they would introduce a more modern frontend system though. I find it hard to go back to templates after using react. It’s easy enough to use Django and react, but it would

I wanted to like HTMX and Alpine. But after a few medium sized projects with it I went back to vite/react for larger frontend. I found it so difficult to come back to old htmx/alpine code. If you got a complex UI to maintain I wou

Anyone tried Junie from JetBrains? Im super happy with it. I’m not sure how it compares to other coding agents though.

My personal motto is: “don’t chase perfection, and don't settle for mediocrity“. I can’t just ship the most basic thing because I find that boring and demotivating. I don’t like to make good enough things. I take joy in going a little

People, no. Companies, yes. If a web tool saves me and my team at work a bit of time for $5/month, yes, 100%, swipe the company card! Sure let’s buy another JS table library. But if I’m working on a personal project, or I have to pay

We understand cloud solutions a lot better these days. You would not have to start where they started. Think about all the tooling available today versus what was available in 2006 when AWS launched.

I'd focus on building a modern product that is easier to use, has more transparent pricing and better support, and makes transitioning from AWS/Azure/GCP a breeze. Start simple, and keep iterating. Start with a platform where

The difficult question to answer is not if we will lose our jobs to AI, but when. Are we talking 100 years from now? Are we talking 5 years, 1 year? But yeah, given enough time it is clear to see computers will one day program themselves.

Great work! Recraft V3 does very good vector images. I wonder if you could use the SVG the model outputs directly in the plotter. Would save you a lot of time.

I don’t know… I would definitely blame companies that raise prices on life saving products like insulin just because they can. You should at least be willing to own the blame if you are ready to take advantage of regulatory and legal restri

I wouldn’t say anti-innovation. The EU just places more value on protecting workers/consumers than businesses. I can understand that to a lot of Americans a government that tries to protect its people from businesses may not make sense

This YT video thing sounds very familiar. I do the same thing whenever I run into a job application in an industry/niche market I never heard of. It does makes the whole process less of a grind for me.
