Insurers are both victims and beneficiaries of a system in which people are terrified to go without medical insurance, but where that medical insurance often doesn't meaningfully protect you. The proposed alternative is to give tremend

Part of being worry-free is knowing that even if you became unable to work you would not go hungry. 100k would do that for a while (unless you had medical expenses) but not forever. As a result, at some point you would need to worry. My poi

I would be very surprised if you could live worry-free with the investment proceeds of $100,000. You would have to earn 18% a year on that on average just to hit the poverty line in the US, and a more likely result would be living on 1/

Not to nitpick a nitpick, but both 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 support dns-over-tls. If you are concerned about the Powers That Be, you should switch over-- and good luck doing that with your ISPs DNS.

Stupid non-physicist question here: we know the universe is expanding, but where does it expand at? Are there physical areas which we can observe growing? And if so, shouldn't that mean that we observe distant objects as lighter than t

I'm not sure I understand. The chart you link to shows that the top 10% produce ~90% of CO2, but says nothing about the impact of population reduction on that dynamic. Are you assuming those individuals will be untouchable or just sayi
