I've been driven to the store and told to pick out my own computer and accessories and nobody ever had it in their hands for any length of time other than the employee who carried it to me. This has happened in two of my seven or so jo

We run almost all of our UIs on S3 static hosting behind CloudFront. Works like a champ. I'm a bit stumped on why they say to avoid using local indices in DynamoDB, though.

It's a bit hyperbolic to call it a "grift." Impose enough constraints on the idea of a flying car and sure, you can achieve it without swindling. The responses here are enough to tell me that people have very different ideas

His surgeon general has echoed his sentiment although not so tersely. Yes, they are only two people, but if you can't believe either of these two people, who can you trust, particularly when they are making exclusive claims? Besides, h

The president himself severely downplayed it and gave the opposite advice as his own health officials (including [paraphrasing] "it's just the flu" and "go to work.")

I fly Frontier very regularly by quality choice and not by price. The fares are great, but the only other people flying the routes are United (awful awful) and Southwest (great but also pricey). More generally, I am not impressed by any U.S

+1, this is what we do in many of our tens-of-thousands of LoC codebases where I work and it works out great. I can't think of a single downside since we switched, actually.

Agreed. I tried to make it work (for a mix of systems and web development) and although it's possible, it's ham-fisted at best. I would love to see some first-class developer support for the iPad (or Pro only, not picky, although

This is more of a regulatory issue than anything. Airspace is very strictly controlled in both countries. Further, outside of NA and Europe, GA is simply not as commonplace and in many cases like China/Russia, it's because it'

Good point. For purposes over a quite-small space, it's not a huge difference. However, I was quite surprised the first time I saw a magnetic declination map. Before flying I had never really considered the difference at all.
