I had a friend who asked me to help her mom get on Facebook. My friend is having a baby and she wants her Mom to be able to follow along on Instagram or whatever. The lady is Native American, and has a very Native American-sounding name. (S

I don't actively monitor it every day, but I feel it! Intel MacBook from 2021. My laptop gets so hot when running Firefox -- almost instantly (certainly after 3-4 minutes). But I can do a call for an hour on Chrome and it doesn't

For me, the big thing Firefox needs is better power management. Mac user here, and streaming video or doing a video call just kills my battery compared to Chrome or Safari. Would love to see more focus on energy consumption optimization.

It’s stuff like this that gives me 0 trust in Altman. Drama follows the guy everywhere and it’s likely because he brings it on himself with questionable morales and actions.

I'd rather pay for things than use "free" things that aren't reliable and end up eating my time to get them working again. Even a small fee generally is enough to keep the person who created it interested in maintaining

I think this is fine, BUT... I think they should have to give people time to fix the problem before dropping them. A neighbor literally just got a letter in the mail, "We think your trees are over your roof. Policy cancelled immediatel

Just another form of discrimination. This has been an issue with Meta forever, and they haven't really bothered to fix it. They are still harassing people for using names that Facebook doesn't think people should use. If it happen

The mid-90s RX-7 was sexy as hell. But the RX-8 just wasn't. A cool engine still needs to be wrapped in a car that people want to drive. The MX-30 doesn't quite fit the bill... just seems so mundane to look at.

Facebook is always going to pull stunts like this. They don't do creepy things on occasion by accident, they do them intentionally by default. Same old story for the last 20 years. Zuck is creepy AF, everything he touches is creepy AF.

This will just result in a pop-up before every video, like the cookie warnings, “Viewers should be aware that this video may contain AI-generated or AI-enhanced images.” And it’ll be so annoying…

I bet they have maintenance contracts, or partnerships with companies that do. Seems like they would have at least said, “We know there have been some issues. We’ll incentivize you to sanity check everything. Pretty please?”

Maybe Netflix should try putting on good content. They lost so much to Disney and HBO and Hulu. Overseas shows like Rick & Morty were on Netflix a day after they came out. Not so in the US. Where all Netflix seems to have are the “Paul

Yeah, OK but Spotify premium family plans are like 16 bucks a month for 6 people... $35 a year or so per seat? Meh. Hardly worth pirating is it? It seems like a pretty fair price for literally all the music ever made available on demand. Ha

Found another small bug... When you eat a ghost, the dots under the ghost don't get eaten. So you skip over 1-2 dots at higher levels when eating a ghost. Then you have to go back to snag them.
