+1 on the quality sleep. if you wake up with dry mouth or drool regularly, you're mouth breathing during sleep which is commonly a warning sign of sleep apnea, which causes loads of problems, especially mental health probs.

Exactly. Mind you that's probably only because I didn't realize I used it to psychologically self-medicate. Most people would probably be well served if they cut it off cold-turkey, others may need a step down approach like me.

If you consider this, make sure to consider whether or not you think you may be self-medicating with sweets. I quit sugar for about 2 months and went into an inexplicable depression where I was having suicidal thoughts. Sugar is a bastard.
