I better clean up my drafts folder. I have lots of unsent messages that I wrote in impulsive moods, but had the wherewithal not to send. And in most cases, fortunately never sent.

Not easy for an editor to support. There are much better tools available to print code or reflow plaintext into a .ps or .pdf. Enscript[1] is my (the?) preferred way and a plugin would be a fine tay to achieve this. Will format code in almo

It seems like the Amazon reps weren't paying attention to the detail, or the seller was also supplying fraudulent evidence of delivery. This blog post will likely get it resolved for the buyer, though it shouldn't have to be this

The only thing worse than this accusation is the alleged coverup. Holy smokes. Also, a certain irony is that it stands in contrast to the entire point of this company.

I'll say one. I was on a phone call with Jonathan from Binary Capital when they were looking at an investment in a company I am investor in. They were pushing overly onerous terms, and were changing the original terms that had been agr

This is disgusting, pathetic, and predatory. It also has a long-term chilling effect on women in technology and entrepreneurship. I am surprised by the lack of outrage over this behavior.

This article focuses on the emotional attachment to a card, but that's not the driver. It just comes out that way. I spend a lot of time on FlyerTalk where the decline of Amex has been discussed over and over. There were mistakes made

This is why eShares or someone like them will disrupt this entire ecosystem. ComputerShares should be killed off too. The entire system is amazingly broken.

I saw this a while ago and thought it was neat but for me it was just a toy to try out. I couldn't understand two things: 1) What's the use case? 2) Who is the audience? Does anyone know the answer to those two things?

Having been an operator for nearly 20 years, is this a problem actual admins face? I've never experienced this. I always used runit or daemontools, but even with sysvinit I never had these issues.

This is a frustratingly misleading title. They haven't had an IPO yet and it's unclear if they ever will. One article in Bloomberg about trying to turn the company around and prepare for an IPO isn't the same thing. There is

I'll rephrase, it's way better accomplished with UDP without sacrificing security in the ways I list. Running DNS over HTTPS over TCP isn't needed. It doesn't solve a problem. Doing JSON DNS for OOB DNS checks is useful

We did the same thing w/ JSON responses: https://www.openresolve.com/ This is a bad idea outside of experimentation. Not to be used for production. If you want to secure DNS look at QUIC, TLS, or my favorite, DNSCrypt
