DNSCrypt ( https://dnscrypt.org/ ) would be more elegant here (DTLS also okay) and is in-band wrapper for DNS. It's what TLS is for HTTP but for DNS and keeps things UDP. Worth pointing out, this is not a google project,

As an aside, you should never use a debit card online, ever, ever, ever. Candidly, you should never use it for anything other than taking money out of an ATM.

That's frightening. I would suggest your security team do an audit with CloudLock (note, we acquired them at Cisco) and my guess is that it'll be illuminating / shocking.

Founder of OpenDNS here. No idea how this is on the front page, this is literally years-old news. We haven't shown ads or done nxdomain redirection for more than two years. We are, however, probably one of the best and easiest things y

Theory here is that people will build apps that talk to S3. But sometimes those apps might need to run inside the perimeter and can't talk to the cloud. So rather than rewrite an app to talk to a new internal datastore, you just point

Not quite. As legal explained to me -- it's too legally ambiguous for some entities to feel comfortable using because your only fall back on public domain is copyright, which can be overly restrictive, and the usage rights are undefine

ICANN, despite its imperfection, is infinitely better than having control of the DNS by the UN or the ITU who are exceptionally self-serving and controlled by corporate interests. Thought of course I'd have preferred it stay with DoC u

That's really not accurate. While it happens, there are many projects and efforts that are tightly controlled, managed, and executed. And when projects go off the rails, people are generally pretty unhappy. The government is huge thou

It doesn't matter meaningfully. While you're right that it changes the dynamic in the consecration of the terms, it doesn't change the deal drivers and the benefit shift in the execution of the contract.

There is no scenario where you should feel compelled to pay their legal fees. Perhaps they will think again before starting to run up a legal tab on a term sheet in the future. That said, if this is a <$5k amount of legal bill… I might j

I read this, but seemed to skip over the part where he explains why this changed suddenly, when the behavior was documented? What changed to make the perl become capable whereas previously it lacked the low port capability?
