Looks like "Instagram for video" is a two-horse race between Socialcam and Viddy (blurred out, but ranked #3 in that photo with 2800+ reviews and 4.5 stars). I'm curious, what is Socialcam's strategy for winning this dogfight? It's going to

Another great post by you guys. Love the distinction between Loops and Arcs, though I'd love a specific example of Arc -> Loop -> Arc as a primary game flow. Most RPG games (like Mass Effect) go Arc -> Arc -> Arc, with Loops

Another great reply, let me respond. I think there's a difference between lean and agile development. Lean startup essentially means testing and learning from a basic prototype for everything that you do. New feature? Test it. New level? Te

Great reply. My counter to this argument would be that you can launch the game as a MVG in an unbranded, low-fi way that wouldn't jeopardize your actual game's launch. Instead, you'd just have a crappy game that people would test, and then

Any feedback on the ideas I present in this article? I'm especially interested in the opinions of game developers, particularly the drawbacks associated with this kind of strategy

Well, I can't back this up with hard numbers at this point, but I'm pretty sure that the SF Bay Area has lead the nation in hiring since 2008. Also, where else in the US are you hearing about people becoming rich beyond their wildest dreams
