Yes, thanks - I do use those. I was thinking of a slightly different scenario though when compare to my own container, as in my reply to bpicolo below (or above).

As a thought exercise it is interesting to think through what we would 'trade' though. For the S3 case there could be a hard cap of allocation, but once it is reached then does the service just switch off? Could it just respond to

I'm playing with these exact things now and it is very enjoyable so far. My main worry is not on the technical side but on how things are charged for. If I build something that starts to get used I am covered in terms of scalability, b

What do you hate about it? My biggest transition to being comfortable with it was to find a happy place in terms of editing. After years of C/C++ it was not easy to be picking fragments of code out of DOM bellyfluff lint. So how do you

That makes sense. Are there any drones that combine that approach, i.e. like a V-22 Osprey? It seems like the 'modes' could be combined, weight willing..

Looking through the specs the flight time is just 16-22 minutes. How close are we to some sort advancement in that area, as that seems to limit the possibilities somewhat? Is this a 'when batteries become magical' thing?

+1 on the housing, it's a major factor. We came over in 2001, so basically got lucky, but today it's a real issue. More and more people are being pushed out to the suburbs in the Valley, and then having a pretty bad commute into d

Sure, we love it and we're lucky to have lots of choice on where to live in the world (UK/US/Canada docs now). Just vacation somewhere with less rain or more sunlight in November if it gets to you. Flights aren't that ch

Yep, I've lived 10 years London and now 10 years Vancouver and it's comparable. It's probably even nicer in Vancouver, as we have a ground pool and air conditioning here, while in London those were more of a rarity. Vancouver

On my (amateur) level of reading about the selection of the F-35 it seems that the VTOL was a requirement put in by the Marines so that they wouldn't always have to rely on the Navy for operations. This is a tradition that goes back to

With a quick experiment (nice site btw) I see that it only seems to look back 3 days or so for commit totals to a private repo. If you are looking for anon aggregate data, to prove at least some activity then I was expecting longer? Edit: A

It is nice, but I sometimes wish that Safari or Chrome tabs would cycle with that combination, rather than the control + tab sequence as then it would all be a bit more similar.

The delivery of the page has been abstracted via protocols, and is keeping the application logic independent of persistence and UI implementation details. The 50X is just a side-effect. :)

That makes sense - thank you. I sort of remember that the core CLR didn't really rev that much, in that it spent the longest time on 2.x, with only the data access technologies built on top changing what seemed like every other week. L

Just to clarify what I meant by the 'unsubscribe' part, many newsletters (like your Costco example from the OP) contain an unsubscribe link without an email but with a unique id in the href. When clicking this you often get to a p

Nicely done. Feedback: - Where's your privacy policy detailed? With the nature of the service (gathering email addresses etc) you could head-off lots of questions with that. - A default serif font drags anything down. For me personally
