That seems to work a little better for me in terms of accuracy. This approach is different in that this is using a fixed eye position and overlay measure on the camera image and then working out the arctangent etc. Clever.

Liquidity event clause would be normal here and he'll be vested all in, especially as he's not a regular employee. As a C-level they'll be handcuffs on the FB stock part for sure as well.

There's been a flurry of threads, and I've not seen this discussed. As a huge fan of Carmack and a believer in VR, the acquisition is interesting, in that: - John Carmack's OR work was not just on the mechanism of VR in terms

Looks like no immediate fix either, which is a shame as I wanted to use it client side but (a) need SSL and (b) can't ignore Chrome (it fails on Chrome for Android latest too).. https://github.com/fiorix/freegeoip&

It is nice. One thing that got me stuck for an entire coffee was that I needed to run Chrome Mobile Beta on the device to get the Screencast toolbar button to appear, otherwise you just get regular remote debugging with no button.

That's why I used the word 'tiers' if you read more carefully. The bottom tier may be an inexpensive streaming box, the highest tier may be a high performance dedicated gaming PC running SteamOS.

I was just thinking a dedicated OnLive / ChromeCast like wee box for the LAN, perhaps with a Valve designed controller (i.e. an analog something). All real processing would be on the host SteamOS PC really, with dedicated hardware to h

As this is as good a place as any to record my guess, I'd go for some sort of virtualization. O = SteamOS [O] = Hardware partners Steam box (in tiers inc. an inexpensive stream target box for $99) [O O] = Being able to run a SteamOS ga

Thank you. Also, info about git patch rather than a git cherrypick, in-case it's useful to anyone: https://ariejan.net/2009/10/26/how-to-create-and-apply-a-pat...

Given that there is no 3.0.X update this time, where's a good resource to learn about applying the manual patch?

Phil is smart, and MVC3 helped .NET enormously but I think people are getting carried away that the guy is some sort of paid ambassador for Microsoft and .NET at Github. I imagine that he'll do whatever it takes to make Github better with t

Access to the camera. The mobile app's only existence is really because of the ability to take pictures and preview/upload them in one easy step.

Thanks for that. The third option is exactly how we did the app, i.e. no sign up or pay link, just a login. Plus we very prominately say 'You need an active subscription'. We obviously wouldn't want the 1-star reviews, but in some ways it's

Thank you. Yes, we're going over those. It's a shame as we like our current solution, and this would be purely just for apple (and we don't sell books) We were wondering about bothering to appeal even - has anyone actually 'won' or don't yo

Thanks for that link. I just spent 20 minutes playing 'alien' and trying to figure out who, where and what we are from these images: http://voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/spacecraft/sceneearth.html I love the premise.

I'm not sure what is the more naff joke; to go with 'And this is why Windows needs a native spellchecker' or 'Obvious over-reliance on static language compilers'. I'll go with neither, as it's a good read.

Really interested in your feedback of the 1440 vs the 1680 on the 15" screen. I spend lots of time in iTerm/TextMate doing web dev. My current MBP 1440 is ok for me, but thinking I should go higher this time. Will the fonts be too small? (h
