Judging from this Yelp review from 2013 I don't think that is the case: http://www.yelp.com/biz/union-street-guest-house-hudson?hrid... Seems like they sent harassing emails to people who leave bad reviews letting

Just because you don't need to count calories to maintain your weight doesn't mean it isn't a useful tool for many people. The idea that the precise quantification of food that leads to poor diets/eating habits is rather

"Free" to start our own farms? Where are they getting the land? Where are they getting the crops and equipment needed? Where are they getting the general knowledge of how to even grow a farm that can sustain a family?

The majority of the people who comment on voting systems is a much smaller number than the majority of people who use a voting system.

Adding a downvote seems potentially dangerous to me. Sure a lot of "groupthink" articles rise to the top now, but a downvote means that the same vocal minority could suppress stories that don't fit into their ideology. Defini

Gotcha, my mistake. I thought the point was Apple was making their own language like Google did with Go and he was just linking the wrong language.

You do realise that link is completely unrelated to what Apple is doing, right? EDIT: Nevermind, my mistake. I thought the comment was about Apple was making their own language like Google did with Go, not Go! already existing as a language

I tend to agree with the sentiment, but some of this guys examples are horrible. "It keeps asking me which app I want to use to open stuff. And when I click ‘just once’, it keeps asking me forever." Oh really? When you tell it to

It might not be possible to calculate "is it worth it for me", but it should be possible to calculate it on average. I can look at the average income of a high school graduate ($29,950 according to http://nces.ed.gov&#x

For something like software development this could be useful, but probably not for most technical majors. There aren't nuclear engineers or rocket scientists with only a high school education

The biggest problem I have with this article is that it lumps every single major into "college" and makes the blanket statement that it is worth it. Ok, so the average 'cost' of college is negative $500,000, how does tha

The purpose of prison shouldn't be JUST punishment, but also (and more importantly) rehabilitation. Very few people are actually completely beyond reintegration into society. We need a prison system that is designed to teach prisoners

The point of exercise is so that when you do lose weight you don't still look like crap. Losing weight is all about diet. Looking good is about diet and exercise.
