Precisely why the law should really say that making X affordable cars per year buys you right to sell 1 luxury car. You actually want it more complicated than that, maybe something like for every dollar of affordability you sell (under $X),

I’ve never heard of a student paying for their engineering, math or science degree. If you do get an offer to study, but without sponsorship, it’s a signal they don’t really want you.

Yeti is the opposite of what you want. I use the RE320 which is perfect. The properties of the mic make it naturally pick up background noises only faintly.

I have never heard of this for computer science. I went to UIUC so I am only talking about the Midwest. How would you have time to finish? A full time PhD works a LOT. I can’t imagine doubling the time to a PhD.

Often it isn’t because the grass is greener somewhere else. There are cases where the grass looked green, but upon marriage, you discovered it false. Cheating, publicly showing off said cheating (yet hiding it from you), no respect, all ma

I am a father of two. Child care is labor. You want to be rich, yet have some poor woman work for minimum wage? My wife stayed home, I worked. Having children is hard, but as hard as people like to pretend. Diapers are extremely cheap whe

No, not like that. “Disappeared” has a specific context in Latin America. It is to be kidnapped, possibly tortured, killed, and body disposed of for actions against a drug lord, the police, military, or political figure. This isn’t even c

Similar. I don’t understand wearing it with pride. There is no pride in it. It’s not an accomplishment. When people do this, it looks like a pre-emotive cop-out. “I’m saying to everyone I have ADHD so that if something goes wrong, I ha

Is it really? If you report a crime in a major western city more than likely the police won't file a report. Also "crime per capita" is a very gross and broad statement.

Exactly. The racism and class prejudice is so blatant in this discussion it’s pretty wild. Bunch of representative bias anecdotes, mostly be people who don’t live there, or haven’t in 20 years. And yet, if the same environment were to be e

Spoken like a coastal elite. I’ve lived on the east coast, Midwest, and Cali. The Midwest is no more insular than anywhere else I’ve lived.

You have got to be kidding. Was this some retaliatory complaint by some dude showing dudes can be triggered by female-emphasizing phrases as well? Should it have been renamed to birthing-person-board? What a joke

Show me the evidence? In Amsterdam, where this is a thing, a large percentage of the girls are actually trafficked. Of course they deny it, because to accuse a pimp means severe repercussions either for herself or family back home.

It’s not an unequal divide in emotional labor. He is doing what he sees fit, but she requires much more. If I’m content to live at level 10, so do level 5 work, I’m not being lazy. If she requires living at level 20, she will then need to

I have yet to work at a company where the developer’s wasn’t the primary opinion that mattered. Pro tip: avoid working working at companies that follow HIPPO (highest paid person’s opinion).
