If you have at-home charging and mainly commute a huge perk is never hitting a gas station up. Getting a slower charge over night is better for your battery and better for your sanity (being able to skip the pump).

Tesla's "base" package for lane keeping is great (and on par with other major auto manufactures) and probably sufficient for most users. Save thousands of dollars.

Steam encourages devs to dynamically link SDL2 so that they can patch it for them [0]. Pretty neat IMO. Sorry for the terrible link, Google+ is deleted now but luckily a bot mirror the post to reddit. [0]: https://www.reddit.com

This is cool. The visualization reminds me of the visualization of QDirStat/WinDirStat. Also shout out to the (mostly useless but cool looking) git history visualizer, Gource[0]. https://gource.io/

I might be crazy but a lot of the 1-2 season cancelled shows are still worth watching. A really fun journey that ends prematurely is still really entertaining. I suggest... acquiring... them.

Here is a crazy thought: Could streaming providers put this into the hands of the customers? What if they put the idea of "cancel or continue?" in their faces and made them vote with their feet (screens)?

That can work just fine by intentionally opening windows. Having a "drafty" house is just forcing that 100% of the time (which isn't always wanted). Side note: As a US resident in an area with a ton of mosquitos, I cannot un

In fact all Tesla's sold today come with basic lane keeping (but not auto change lane).

Is it really a Tesla specific issue? Tesla's definitely phantom brake quite a bit, but it seems like many automated cruise control implementations do this today. https://www.motorsafety.org/us-government-investigates-1

I will say that with the transition Microsoft is doing a one-time PTO payout, which is pretty nice. Sucks for people who tracked PTO religiously before though.

If you use it "correctly" (very subjective) it is a great driver assistant. On long road trips I am way less tired and can focus more on making sure my environment is safe (animals entering road) instead of focusing on lane keepi

A great example of how FSD/Autopilot is hugely flawed today. The car just does not give you clear indications of when or _why_ it is slowing down/swerving erratically in the lane when nothing is around. I get that about once a w

Every time I think about leaving Microsoft for a higher paying FAANG job, I think about our teams general chill work schedule and lax time off. Really hard to give that stuff up, even for tons of money.

Their new octovalve heat pump stuff makes a significant difference in cold weather. Anecdotally our Model Y (heat pump) is a bit more performant in the cold vs our 2018 Model 3 (not heat pump).
