Then should we not amend the protocol to define these things? Why reinvent the wheel, when we could improve it?

But those are problems with /the client/. Not the protocol.

Yes, that's what I was thinking of. What does it do wrong? I was actually thinking of signing up, but it is too expensive.

Unless you physically hand your taxes in, isn't any solution technically vulnerable to being compromised? Also, wouldn't encryption fix this problem? I don't understand how it might be implemented in the real world, but if yo

So FOSS is insecure if maintainers are lazy? This would hold true for any piece of software, wouldn't it? The difference here is that even though the "hypocrite commits" /were/ accepted, they were spotted soon after

Long ago Ruby on rails had a feature that sort of cached all links on the current page to make navigating to them faster. What happened to that? Would that not provide the same speed benefit? I'm ignoring the inefficient use of data he

I really wish they would just make some keyboard-case-love-child for some of the more popular mainstream devices. I really want a physical keyboard, but I don't want to give up my daily driver for a $900 unknown variable.

I prefer text simply because I can read the same text faster than anyone could dictate it to me. Plus I can CTRL+F through text.

I love coffee too, but I don't feel like it has the effect of "pepping me up" anymore. I drink it almost as a snack, now. I have taken my intake way down, though. I used to do 6 - 9 cups a day, depending on the day. Now I

I've decided to finally roll my own matrix server, and configure bridges for the apps that fit into this "I have to use it because person x is too stubborn" category. It'll be a learning experience, and will skip all the

So we'd still be limited by the speed of classical communication in sending the object's state to the new location? I hope I'm understanding this correctly.

A few questions I have: - what happens after you send the email? - Is there somewhere I can pull that up on sourcehub? - Does feedback come to the email attached to my git user? - if the maintainer decides to apply my patch, does it still s

I also got into the more nitty-gritty nuances of mysql through with phpmyadmin. Many things I find being done on client side "dashboard" applications can be handled by a mysql view, which can then be pulled up in phpmyadmin.

Not to knock this product; it's really impressive, and I like it, but it makes me wonder: does nobody just use phpmyadmin (or some phpmyadmin-like) for this kind of thing? I have, and it's worked for me; even if it's a little

Don't forget the fact that you have the option of running pipelines on your own machines. I do this for all my projects, and only really use shared runners by mistake when I forget to set it up. I am a little dismayed to find out that
