Nice work! Do you generate the images in the app and upload it to your servers or on your server & download the image to the app?

Would you rather have Google not build anything that is not based on standards?

wearing != using.

by dannyr 13y ago
But wearing it does not necessarily mean you're using it.

Why do you think it's easier to catch people using Glass? You can operate Google Glass hands-free.

So what are you basing on that Google, Yahoo, etc are lying? Gut feel? hunch?

I feel bad for people like you. I fee bad that you can't believe that some people or company with money just wants to make the world a better place. You said it yourself. Google probably won't make money. Maybe, just maybe, they j

Wow. You've been served but you still are going to great lengths to defend your position.

Point you to an article? You mean you've been shooting off here on HN without even reading? At Google's official blog post, they stated that review each request. Don't ask people for a link. Do your research first before you

Saw that tweet. I usually don't like snark but you deserve it!

Hardware is going to be easy to copy. Google services (search, maps, etc)? Good luck to the imitators.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with the author. Marco talked down on Android for years because of its fragmentation. It's just hypocritical that it's only good if it happens on iOS. In one of the Google IO talks, Google has

The thing is a number of developers are just writing for 4.0 and above. I've not saying fragmentation on Android isn't bad. What I'm arguing is fragmentation on iOS is being framed as a good thing (actually a "great&quot

Do you know that Vine has already overtaken Instagram as the biggest social sharing on Twitter?
437.
by dannyr 13y ago
2.3 is still big but its share is dwindling pretty fast. Vine only supports 4.0 and above & there's no uproar. It is a Top 3 app on Google Play.

So fragmentation is ok as long as it's only for a year? I guess we're moving the goal posts again.

It can't be. It's on the internet so it must be true.

Some of the comments here just shows that people will believe what they want to believe. There's nothing Google, Apple, Facebook, etc can say that some people won't poke holes into.

Why don't you just let your product speak for itself? I don't think a bitter blog post like that accomplishes anything positive.

I noticed that pretty much the people who criticize Google for shutting down products are the same people who criticize Google for having too many products.

With Reader, Google didn't replace it with anything. It wasn't replaced by a walled garden. There's no garden at all. What open-source system did Google+ replace? OpenSocial? That thing never took off. Google tried for years but nothing hap

Apple was late in MP3 players too but just dominated the market. Although I'm more invested in the Android/Google ecosystem, I'd like to see Apple release their own products too. Android has improved a lot and big part of that is its compet
