"Full-stack developer" is fine and makes sense to your audience. Neckbeards just win pull with other neckbeards by saying otherwise. It's like when you see people getting it on record that they would never use Javascript on t

What makes it effective or not is if it's actually producing dates. Makes sense for a guy to swipe right on most women. Being selected by the woman is the swipe that matters. Not much different than the real world. Same economy.

I use Elm in production and I feel like I have a sufficient interop toolkit between implementing tasks (writing native modules) and ports. Unlike Clojurescript, Elm interacts with your explicitly defined Javascript boundary rather than trie

I think you're at a place where you would be best off indeed pursuing other languages and solutions. Your current frustrations with Javascript will be a powerful motivation to dig into new ecosystems. I was in a similar place once and

I don't know how you can hate Javascript or any other language so thoroughly unless you just finally branched out to your second language that you're currently in honeymoon love with. Took me two years of writing Clojure full-time

The problem wasn't that they used Heroku. It's that they didn't exercise the sort of thrift possible with a website that has no users, and I'd wager that they didn't really know how to since they were a tenderfoot.

If you're serious about learning a language, and it's a tool that you're going to use every day that actually helps you learn, then $25/mo is a good deal. I pay $30/month for FluentU.com just to watch embedded Youtu

It's not that obvious how to delegate out a task that involves giving someone full access to an account when they ask for it. With an on-site "Contact Support" form, you can at least compare their IP address with historical l

You're compare-and-swapping out persistent values with an atom (it holds a succession of immutable values over time). It's not an example of people shirking persistent data structures for mutation.
