One should understand that not all processes in life take 45 minutes. Learning meaningful content is like going to the gym or playing the piano - you cannot expect to see any meaningful results in a day. You'll have to put in the work

Context-menus will land in the next Emacs release and are already available on master. Expect more and more functionality to be exposed via them. Being emacs, context-menus will also be configurable. https://github.com/emacs

I don't think the numbers scale linearly. A single dollar probably does nothing to contribute to better animal welfare. It takes a threshold of money to start being impactful, and over a long time period to inflict noticeable long-term

Very curious. Is there anything that smells the same, or is absolutely everything different? Also, how much of a difference is it - slightly off, or completely new?

This interpretation is misleading. There is no significant viral load difference between groups, but only looking at the subset of vaccinated people who actually got infected. Also, the study also suggests lower viral loads for the symptoma

You should report this to the IRB. The research is conducted on information obtained by interacting with humans, and therefore should be classify as Human Subjects Research [1]. Waivers of informed consent can be obtained under some circums

Impossible that it would receive ethical approval, and for good reason, but it would be fantastic if such a study could be conducted as a double blinded placebo-controlled clinical trial. The fact the patient knows she has a myriad of docto

Vessel constriction or dilation by itself is not necessarily a bad thing. CO2 is a potent vasodilator, but no one would claim holding/pacing your breath for swimming is a bad thing. Caffeine too has a strong vasoconstricting effect.

As someone who used to host, I didn't like hosting couples because many a times they were absolutely not interested in having a "CouchSurfing experience", only looking for a free place to sleep. Also, since reviews were the c

The SARS-CoV-2 virus binds to a specific receptor (ACE2) that is expressed in a multitude of different cells in our bodies, most curiously the endothelial cells that line up your vessels. Some hypothesis suggest that the disruption of the s

I'd love to see a workflow comparison between emacs, vim (with remote work via neovim's tcp support + neovide) and vscode. I'm currently using Emacs and have a pretty decent setup for remote work with jupyter-emacs and tramp,
