Part of me thinks its the "working towards" part, independent of the family/marriage bit. I can't prove it though. I think if you drop off the rails of a traditional lifestyle, you need to be ready to stand on your own t

This is a simplified answer, but more or less since the Nintendo 64 a common method has been to JIT the source binary to the target one. Dolphin had an interesting progress report on debugging JIT instructions with net play a while ago! [1]

I feel like the variation in placement and length helps. Or, it pushes towards the "randomness" that makes some skinner boxes more sticky than others.

When I imagine your scenario, I like the idea of accepting that there’s no true “Star Wars” and having a bunch of different variations on it that we can enjoy/discuss. For example, Disney had a bunch of anime studios produce different

If you’re interested in checking out new Taiwanese video games, I really enjoyed Opus: Echo of Starsong . It’s worth a go! The Legend of Tianding has a fun feeling to it as well.

There were incredible games like Hades , Cruelty Squad , or 13 Sentinels that released recently and didn’t tackle the induced demand of next-gen hardware. I think the parent commenter is suggesting that when studios look away from techn

My father mentioned he noticed that when I played video games with my peers as a child, it was very much a social activity. I think it somewhat changed his paradigm on the medium after the 1990s having a bit of a moral panic on the topic.

I loved the original Mobile Suit Gundam show, but I found the other series a lot harder to get into. The WWII-flavoured drama applied onto Space Battleship Yamato 's formula hit me just right. I sometimes wonder if there's a di

I remember reading an interview with Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, the character designer for the 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam on the idea. Him and the interview noticed a bit of a trend along the lines "the larger and more powerful the robot, the
