What’s so funny to me is what you’re describing is the nightmare that’s become scrum as opposed to actual agility. Agile is about ditching managers, bureaucracy, and estimates in favor of empowering the team itself. Agility is just what it

Over and over again I hear from friends who work at companies that chose exciting technology that a major benefit is that it makes it easy to hire talented engineers who are exceptionally good, because that’s who’s interested in learning th

Can't say I got him hysterical, but yes, felt like a major life achievement. He was a generous laugh, and that's a really admirable trait from a comedy legend.

I got to take a writing workshop with him once and I’m proud to say I made him laugh. He was very kind, and obviously had great stories. Python was very much a group effort, but I think he made an enormous difference behind the scenes.

The allegations against him (and there is evidence to support this) is that he didn’t just coordinate to publish, but provided instructions and technical training to Manning on how to steal them.

Beyond all that, good filmmakers often use edits to manipulate or confound expectations about time and space. However, there are scenes in the narrative sense, but also scene main the way an AD making a schedule will see them, that is, scen

I've used Elm for frontend pretty much exclusively since 2016. In the last two months I changed jobs and now write a bunch of typescript, and it's fine, but would much prefer to be writing elm...I mean, I'm only working on ba

I don’t think it’s just an implementation problem. I think there are patent issues preventing this. Newtek should really bite the bullet and just open source, and make their money on the hardware.

Can't say I blame them for the removal of libndi-newtek, given the situation, but I wish FFMpeg (and gstreamer) had ndi support. Would love to see an open source NDI, but I know newtek will never allow it.

If you really really really can’t live without a statefull component, you can always build a custom element (which can be a wrapper around an elm app). But reusable views with fairly complex state are used; they require a little bit of wiri

Yes. The deeply nested components thing isn’t an issue at all. You build “components” as stateless views. It’s fundamentally the same as building an application out of all stateless components in redux. Your model (the central state) become
