Give it time. I meant to emphasize light, as in not Myspace style chaos. People would pay for it.

I own a cafe and I roast my own beans. I won't drink anyone else's coffee unless I am on a roadtrip. I have one of these http://www.ambexroasters.com/pages/ym5.jsp Although it's older and not as shiny.

What a stupid article. You would think that a "Silicon Alley Insider" would know that it already has a custom OS (window manager/distro) designed especially for it by Fusion Garage, Arrington's partners. Also you would think an 'insider' wo

I also like to add that after that stress and uncertainty phase, things seem kind of flat and boring. Which is where I am now. What's next?

When the adrenalin is pumping you do what it takes and sometimes you get in a box, and you get out anyway you can. Entrepreneurs are risk takers, either you are all in when the chips are down or you fail.

Yup, right there with you. I am doing a lot of mental hacking, i.e. reading about depression and health. Loads of reflection about myself and how I got here. Trying to get a better perspective on the good things I've done and the things I l

Sure it sucks now, but in 2004 it just blew away Friendster which what my social network was using at the time. Watch Facebook pages eventually add music and other content. Watch some light themeing appear for your personal page. What Faceb

Oh great, now I need an app for every single website I visit. Oh you don't have one for my phone yet? Oh you are never going to support my phone? Wait, you've stopped using HTML for your own proprietary markup? Seriously? This is dumb.

Hmmm, thinking here. It's basically distributed Friendfeed which already seems to have all the functionality I'm describing.Except you can host your own stuff and adhere to a common API.

I am so relieved and nostalgic when I land on a website that looks like it was made in 1998. Oh look....text, just what I wanted and there is the information I need. Not that I am a total curmudgeon, lots of the new Railsey looking websites

A patent is a privilege. I have a right to make a living and there are finite ways to do so, if my right to make a living is blocked by others privileges then we don't have much of a free society. Privileges are directly opposed to rights.

Yeah sure when you are on top but then there is the fall from grace. As you become less relevant or get superseded. That's when the ego comes out, tantrums, destructive behavior, etc.

As a business owner I can attest that a phone number equals a bank account. Daily we receive phone calls that are designed to trick the unwary into agreeing to being billed for worthless services. After the third or so time an employee had
