There is another important example that the author didn't mention. The inquisitor. Anyone who's been in the workforce long enough knows the guy who can't ever accept the directions he gets without questioning every aspect of the decision. A

Before I make this comment, please understand that I've never been to a TED conference and am unlikely to go in the reasonably near future. Having said that what rational being would pay $6,000 to attend an event where he's treated like a s

I am an atheist. I have been since college. That said, I never attempt to convert people because of course since there's no god, there's no heaven or hell to worry about. I don't care what religion you ascribe to, as long as you respect my

By better I meant a retina display level resolution ideally behind gorilla glass. As I'd said, the iPad display is great, but the market expects more now.

I have an iPad. I love my iPad. That said, it's too heavy. 1.5lbs is really light when you have a laptop that you set down to use, but when you actually hold the device whenever you're using it, that weight adds up. It needs a better displa

This is a great move by Microsoft. Not only will they get free development on their platform, this will cement the Kinect as the next major gaming device. If only Sony could see the benefits of allowing an open SDK on their platform.

It's not a question of being able to afford it(I assume you could give everyone who attends the entire conference a pizza and still have $ left over) it's what would be most effective for the most people. If you get a local place to do it f

I think that Launch wouldn't be complete without a hackathon. What you'll need is enough Internet connections to let everyone who wants to get in have their own, and LOTS of pizza and energy drinks. Perhaps you could persuade a local pizzer

I'd said before(and still believe today) that the best option for Borders is to be aquired by Amazon. Then you could browse the stores and sample what you wanted before you bought it. They could do in store promotions unique to each store a

When I bought my iPhone 4 I noticed the attenuation issue when I first started talking on it. So I stopped holding it that way. Then it went away. A few weeks later, the bumper program came out and once I got mine, the problem went away ent

I understand the reasons why people accept friend requests from people they might not know but personally, I will never friend someone I don't know. I might only have 30 friends but I actually know each one of them.

They forgot one thing. Smart people can sometimes get lost in their own heads and the world passes them by. Look at Einstein. He spent the last half of his career trying in vain to solve the unified field equation theory. During that time t

We live in a society that uses fiat currency so why does it matter how much we're in debt? Why can't we simply say "that $12,000,000,000,000 we owed? We just hit a triple word score and we have it in the bank now." The USA has carried a deb
