Wow, your university treated their staff like shit and you're mad that the associated materials are gone. Open up your brain a bit.

Did you have to escalate via twitter or did you try other options first? I'm asking because if twitter was the first escalation and it worked, Great! If twitter was another resort after unsuccessful support.... not so great.

This law talks the talk without walking it - many MANY fines have been distributed, but the organization issuing them has no power to actually collect them. When the collection starts, let me know.

I'm seeing this story pop up in several places without much info. All the rest of the Mei items are still available as far as I can tell - maybe it's just out of stock, or human error? I wouldn't want to be too hasty on this

Me. Having to back through several odd transitions was fairly disorienting and not the experience I was expecting. Despite that - very cool website, can't complain about the overall experience.

At 1,50 in the Yolo V2 youtube video I couldn't help but laugh when the algorithm detected the gun in the woman's hand as a cell-phone, made me think of the whole ET Walkie-Talkie/gun censorship scenario.

Usability feels like a second hand citizen to me, when it comes to things like window management / snapping. I come from a very windows-heavy background, so I appreciate the shell experience provided by OSX, but really hate the ear-fli

I'm kind of an outlier when it comes to development, but I really hate using OSX. One thing that makes it bearable for me (I have a mac at work), however, is that I can get exactly what I want with very little hastle using homebrew. I

Really like posts like this - when I first think of an AS, it seems unattainable by anyone but a larger corporation, but this really reduces it down to the nuts and bolts of what's necessary to create your own little segment of the int

Interestingly, I think Hamster actually ended up being the codename for the new Roadster, since it's listed with the prices mentioned above.

This problem hit me very hard, chrome ignores most headers if a server sends a 304 response for a resource. For a site I was working on, we issued a change to our CSP headers only to attempt to fix a CSP issue that made it to production, an

If consistently treated this poorly, why would one not leave the job and go elsewhere, especially if rent + said job puts you in the red? Not to excuse yelp of anything, but if you don't feel you are valued you are the one responsible

This demonstrates some cool CSS properties, but please never do this in production. The resource overhead of just one "thumbnail" will be insane, and your mobile users will hate you. This "thumbnail" can then do anything

The part I find scary is it uses Adobe's new Content Decryption Module. So you mean to tell me the alternative to the buggy insanely insecure Adobe Flash is... more software by Adobe?

Neat article, interesting that suggestions for sane defaults in rails were more-or-less ignored until the problem was demonstrated to easily impact a wide user-base.

Normally I'm not one to praise Apple, but I feel a 3 day turnaround on a process that necessitates opening the entire laptop is amazing: most other vendors would take several weeks.
