This is a pretty interesting approach. It looks a little more noisy at a far distance because the convex shapes read like faceted reflections. However, if I’m understanding this correctly, it greatly reduces the overdraw problem with other

Pray tell how I can self host Microsoft Teams today on anything but azure?

Self hosting doesn’t mean the opposite of cloud hosted, it just means that you can run it on your companies owned server infrastructure. Whether that’s locally hosted or remote hosted.

Edit: ignore this first sentence. I mistook two people. It originally said “Then why paint this as an issue with the left?” Because that’s what the original person who is now flagged was doing. Remaining comment below. —— It seems both par

If I’m reading this correctly, it seems to focus largely on Microsoft services tying you to Azure? This could be a pretty big boon to self hosting if successful.

Its telling you haven’t paid attention because some of these cases started under the Trump administration and he’s been very categorical about his disdain for big tech.

Are you sure it’s the MacBook (T2 or Arm) mic? I imagine you’d sound super muffled if you were trying to use it while closed anyway, so I can’t imagine it’s very usable to yourself?

This will probably just follow their existing precedent in other countries like South Korea and Denmark (the latter limited to dating apps?). In those regions it’s just a reduction of 3% that covers the payment processing. So it’ll give mor

How is this any different than selecting the text and going to “Look Up” that exists natively anywhere in the OS? I suppose one aspect is that it looks like a link the website creator has made themselves which might therefore be deceptive?

So you have a theory that you can’t explain and you believe in strongly, in spite of tons of evidence that counters your theory? You believe it’s simultaneously important to their brand but is a product that has no market? How does that eve

I am flummoxed by your train of thought here, and I really do think part of it is you’re not thinking through what goes into a product. Firstly, look at any tear down. The boards aren’t identical. Beyond that, it still requires specific too

YouTube doesn’t have to deal with the same latency, or deal with representing lots of text. Streaming like this is much harder than folks pretend it is.

I think you’re the one missing the “obvious” part as you call it. The other person even spelled it out. The market for these doesn’t care about any of the stuff you mentioned. It’s really that simple. They don’t care about the portability b

Both you and the person you’re replying to are thinking of workstations in the colloquial sense of “powerful computer to work on” instead of a literal station where someone works. For 90% of people , an iMac is less fuss than other devices.

This feels like a critique that doesn’t understand people, and instead is trying to consider the product by itself. Who is it for? Well, why not see the actual places buying them. - Reception/lobby/greeting desks because they’re a

There’s the other aspects though like security , management and hot desking that fall under my definition of cash strapped that I think would drive sales of this.

I meant more cash strapped as in without a large IT resource to manage the systems versus just device cost.

I’m of two minds on this. 1. This is a great idea for really cash strapped offices (that somehow have great internet?) or super quick deployments. As long as you only use Windows. 2. This is basically a PCoiP box a few years later. But lock

That’s a bit apples to oranges because you’re comparing different form factors completely. Form has a huge impact on acoustic properties and comfort. You’d want to compare them against IEMs.

Perhaps you mean “roll it down all the way”, but it most definitely can roll down most of the way. As someone with a large head myself, I can most definitely fit it out comfortably of mine.

A lot of cars have electronically controlled doors. It’s due to the frameless windows. Opening the door requires the windows to roll down slightly to avoid damage to the outer trim. The doors still have a mechanical release so there’s no c
