Definitely interesting. I have a couple questions: 1. Quite confused about actual use cases, could anybody come up with an example? 2. The way I see it, it's kind of a way to have run-time "macros"? 3. How much overhead does

Does anybody else feel that the syntax is terrible and SQL is not a good fit for this? I, for one, would appreciate if the paths were accessible via a change to the SQL syntax as opposed to a magic operator or - even worse - a new function.

You can only talk about preservation if you actually can pull the content out. It's not like Google doesn't shut down a handful of projects early - at some point they might decide to wipe unprofitable videos as well and we might e

I found it quite surprising and decided to double-check. This source doesn't seem to agree if I'm reading it right: https://saveyourinternet.eu/pl/ Could you let me know where you have this information from?

This makes me wonder - could trees be modified genetically to handle more CO2 in order to make this number lower? Could we, instead of trees, have huge walls made of plants that would consume our CO2?

How does snappy compare to lz4? Also, for gzip, you might want to consider using its multithreaded version, called "pigz".

Would be interesting to see a graph of how things get reposted between subreddits. Also, I think you missed one quite relevant category: "perspectives". In many cases, it's just about the angle the picture was shot from. Perh

I don't know much about kernel memory management, but if he was booting memtest86+ bare metal, I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't triggering the same edge cases Linux would do - which is why I'd prefer to make the actu

I think I would also run the memtest under the VM to make sure that the memory map is actually all reachable within Linux and doesn't mess anything up.

Personally, I would advise finding an itch to scratch - something you'd like to see improved. Then try to understand the code from this perspective - where would you put the functionality, which pieces would it be connected to? Try t
