I don't really like the message. For me, it's not "boo, a bug was found after years", it's "yay, they managed to find it!". Bugs are inevitable, security bugs as well. What I don't understand though i

Was hoping to see some examples related to CSS animations or interactivity, instead got just a few tricks that don't seem all that useful. Also, the way colors were chosen for this website makes my eyes instantly hurt.

Was it ever implemented? Are there any usable (at least working in a VM with networking) Lisp OSes out there?

If you're trying to store numbers that might start with a zero using an integer type, you're doing it wrong anyway. A rule of thumb is to ask yourself the question: what does the result of adding two such values mean?

If you could expand it into a longer answer, I would appreciate that - perhaps there are some pieces of good design (git add -p?) in Git, but overall it's too messy for many.

Git CLI is universally agreed to be absolutely terrible, with its manuals actually making it worse. Just flick through one or two blog posts you can find here, many of which already made HN: https://www.google.com/search?q=w

My idea is to avoid context switching like in VDSO, but with a generalized solution that would allow this sort of behavior for all system calls. Could you point me to any write-ups about exception-less syscalls?

I wonder if this kind of approach could be generalized to all syscalls - pushing them asynchronously to shared memory, then receiving output in arbitrary order once kernel core takes care of it. Is this feasible? Does it make sense to expan

Could someone explain casual consistency to me? Is it just about not showing earlier messages to someone who got blocked, or is there something more to it?

Microkernels are IPC-heavy, right? What I rather imagine is having modules at source level, not kernel level. So the thing still compiles down to a monolith/hybrid, but modules are abstracted away and reusable.

Just wanted to say that I wish that this was how kernels were made - out of modular, reusable blocks. Would this scale? In other words, could Redox and the OS described in the system share IRQ code from the same crate and ultimately grow in

You don't have to copulate in order to express "your ability to reproduce". Keep in mind that your family also has your genes so if you just provide resources for them to reproduce, a part of you reproduces as well. This coul

You might have a point, but the way you phrased it sounded arrogant. People might have various reasons to avoid social networks or consider them irrelevant and might not need to "get ready for it". While potentially useful, it

Already hugged to death by HN. Perhaps it's a good idea to replace it with a static website for now?
