Why would one choose it over dm-crypt? What are the advantages?

Could you give an example of an "imperfect solution to a deep rooted problem"?

> Lets assume that censorship for any given tech is allready existing and tight. That's an interesting assumption, though one could argue otherwise. How did you come up with this reasoning?

That is scary when you consider the DRM implications.

What about hangs? I think you'd need a watchdog in order to have the process automated.

Makes sense. I was thinking if there could be a bootable fuzzer of this kind, but you're right that it would be very difficult for it to be both usable and not crash very quickly.

...isn't the usability of the tool limited because it's running in userspace, which has fewer privileges in terms of what instructions can be ran?

IPSec and OpenVPN are complex like hell and not very well supported across OSes (think of the UI too). This is why I'm waiting for Wireguard.io, it looks like a step in a good direction.

Wouldn't implementing that mean giving control to a specific party, as opposed to the level of inflation/deflation? How could the system determine it automatically?

Couldn't those just be recompiled with a wrapper that maps X calls to Wayland?

You can do some pretty awesome things in Rust over a weekend and it counts as systems programming. Also, your quote sounds fun - it's just a matter of presenting it in a cool way ;)

If I read that right, they're allowing Intel ME, which sounds like a sad compromise to me. Given that it's a pretty big complex black box that one can't easily disable, would you agree that x86 is doomed when it comes to secu

There's something like this in Poland, but it's four days and it's mostly used for emergencies. Using it deducts the planned holiday days. http://polishemploymentlaw.com/index.php/tag/day-off/

I would say that djcjr's comment actually is relevant - USA is doing a lot to limit human rights year after year and IMHO is likely to lose its reputation as a haven of democracy. Thus, I'd say it's not whataboutism. Speaki

This might sound naive, but shouldn't this be implemented within ACPI/APM? Or does pretty much every CPU family need special code for that anyway?

That's a really cool theory, but you're also stirring up the hornets' nest by bringing it up anywhere in tech environment, which got really feministic recently. BTW, one thing doesn't seem to stick: they don't label

Nice! I hadn't tested it yet, but I remember trying to run V8 in Python and it was a real mess - I think that even building it was problematic. I might use this project one day. Did you compare your bindings to alternatives?
