I'm really surprised you were still on GoDaddy.. but good thing you moved away. And yes, sometimes small tasks like moving domains can feel like moving a mountain.

That's the kind of projects I think about in the shower or when I'm procrastinating. I need to hack on X. - Current editors suck, I should create an editor. - Current languages suck, I should create a language, and I'll bui

It always seems so obvious in retrospect but it's hard to think clearly when you're in the gist of doing it and you have a mountain on your shoulders. Something - how so stupid, I'll admit - that I realized is that even if sm

Take Javascript, if you want to iterate over a list, you have dozen of ways. One could hardly argue that one is better. Some prefer using built-in foreach, some .map, some underscore, some the native for(). As you say, great code is great c

Although I love lisps, I'd rather jump in a very large Python project than a lisp one. Jumping into someone else Lisp code feels like a jungle to me. Jumping into someone else's Python code feels like my old good slipper. Part of

I didn't say "Work at 30-40% of their capacity". The job environment is obviously a very important factor when considering a position.. some developers preferred to have a smaller salary in exchange for a better work environm

I think explaining that "Most senors developers can leave and get another job with a 30-40% higher pay" and that "most current developers stay because of the flexible time and casual environment" is a very strong point.

You could definitely write some blog posts about these ideas. I think it could be a great way to find technical co-founders willing to contact you about them. Also, city tech events might be a good place.. such as startup drink and the like
