Thanks for asking! The thread's article links to NCBI which links to Taylor & Francis providing the paper. They charge for access to it, though. As I was interested in reading it, I searched for it on Google and found it on the afo

The linked study about when to sleep is on ReasearchGate and can be found via your search engine of preference. (Not linking directly because I am not sure if that page is legal, Taylor & Francis Online charges for access).

Yes, that's true and I wonder how these are related. I usually use the tabs not in containers for mobile, the containerized ones for the desktop testing.

I use them daily for development. It is great to be able to have multiple sessions in the same window for the same application when testing/developing a feature. Great work, Firefox team!

There are so many explanations on blockchains out there and the only one that made really sense to me was: https://anders.com/blockchain/ Watch the video, play with the examples and suddenly everything will make sense.

As a web developer, I use my browser all day. Speed, stability and feature support are crucial for me. Firefox hasn’t been so great, lately. I see the improvents coming with this update. I hope that’s the beginning of Firefox catching up ag

Using Affinity Photo after using Lightroom after using Aperture. It's pretty good, actually, and enough for what I do.

It always configured my repos to use Git LFS - which is not installed because I don't use it. I hope it can be turned off now, I wasn't able to find that setting.

At first, I was also concerned with the keyboard, coming from a 2013 MacBook Air usually equipped with a (Pok3r) mechanical keyboard. Once I got used to it, though, I have to say it's one of the best keyboards I type on.

Neat! The great thing about docco is that it takes the comments right from the source and creates that page out of it. So you have both a pretty website and the same documentation directly in the code.

Would love to see the code documented with docco, like so: http://dak0rn.github.io/prunk/ The whole library would be documented on one page which is a fairly low entry barrier for new developers. Thanks for this awesom

Too bad I wasn't able to setup Hot Module Reloading yet, otherwise I'd switched to Preact. Not because I am concerned of the license itself, but because we are heading towards an acquisition exit and I don't want that to be a

We have written our own migration workflow on top of pg-promise because all the alternatives didn't work out for us. We don't use an ORM because of several reasons and we favor SQL over SQL-abstractions. We use Bookshelf/knex

What about MySQL? Has that improvement been implemented there, too?

We use Postgres over MariaDB/MySQL because of working CHECK constraints, Common Table Expressions, extension support, JSON support, custom types and its great documentation.

Same here. I am going to try to replace React with preact for the larger projects (webpack makes it easy) and run the e2e tests.

Fair point. All my touch points (Lisp, JavaScript, even a bit Haskell and several books) all proposed immutability as being a fundamental principle. Would you mind expanding a bit on that point in case I totally misunderstood something?

As a side note, using .push() isn't something I would consider being functional because immutability is a core concept of functional programming. Too bad, JavaScript makes it hard to do it that way, in that concrete example using Objec

You're right, you could sync with Dropbox before cloud subscriptions - but you could literally see the file in your Dropbox. In case of the subscription, you don't see it. It's a different feeling, more like a black-box.
