The problem is that until that's part of Chrome and offered by Wikipedia, it's niche at best. You know Google is not interested because they can't place flashy ads in it.

> be converted to HTML That’s kinda what’s happening here, isn’t it? Document is shipped in markdown; Component renders it. In a way I wish websites would ship raw Markdown without the ability to style much: Reader mode by default, that’

What he said doesn’t make sense anyway. More is less. Plenty of people pay extra to have a slimmed down version of something, ask Apple users.

If you ever tried using WeChat you’ll find that signing up was already a ludicrous experience. I contacted several other WeChat users who tried to vouch for me in South East Asia and none of the accounts were good enough for WeChat. Absolut

The funny thing is that I was happy to finally see Reddit get a new UI back in the day and hated using the old website. Now I find the current situation abhorrent but I'm still addicted to it. I think I spend less time on the site thou

touch is good also because it stays in the history and can be recalled as a whole. Lately I've just started calling my editor on files I want to create and edit: code my/file.js (the editor will also create the required folders)

macOS Finder defaults are pretty weird if you think about it. We've gotten used to its quirks but… why is the world isn't the desktop aligned to the grid by default? And why doesn't the grid automatically stretch to fit the s

It feels a little weird that what is essentially a query from a dozen items takes longer than 10ms. The SSD shouldn't be needed.

To be fair we copy projects to preserve their structure, specifically to avoid starting anew. It’s not the same as copying and clearing the whole file

I think that people need to understand that once they put themselves out there, especially in sex-fueled environments, they’re adding risk to their lives. They put their sex on full display and think “yeah this is totally fine” while it obv

Some things you say make sense, but suggesting that “people” can/should learn how to build from source is simply nonsense. Heck if I had to build my OS I’d stick to a feature phone instead.

To be fair it's probably the most secure environment for the average Joe, you're just saying that it's not perfectly secure, which would be impossible in this world.

Please somebody bake an icon into the browser that turns green when websites are lightweight and content-only and make it affect Google rankings. We don’t need PDF sites, we need incentives for publishing acceptable websites. Side note: I’d

What. Your browser has a zoom functionality that lets you make the text smaller, essentially replicating the PDF site above. Only the opposite of what you say is correct: I can’t read that PDF’s text without turning my phone into landscape

How do you even split windows/tabs across that many desktops? I mean “logically”. Are you working on 10 different things in any given day/week?

High tabs count are from people who don’t care to close tabs after they’re done or use them as a TODO list they never get to. Browsers should default to closing unused tabs (after 30 days?) and I’m glad that’s possible now. If you haven’t s

Any ML can have schemas and JSON does, I don’t know what you’re talking about. What you describe is all just about support from tools, which JSON has plenty now. The advantage that a ML can have over another is how easy it is to: - pa

Are bureaucrats really that blind to the concept of “foreign websites” that will continue existing without having to follow any of your rules? You ask Facebook to ID me, fine, but my-pretty-face.ws will continue existing unchecked and there
