That specific example seems sorta yikes opinion for somebody with hiring power. Aren't people who get targeted by MLMs victims? More importantly, what does that say about how hard they work? Or being a mom?

Not the parent, but my thought is, and their comment seems to suggest, that the sheer density of exciting, new, and groundbreaking CS work is an absolutely energizing thing to read about.

To be fair, if you made the pitch that way to farmer today they would as well - those points are all iffy. mostly, though, the nature of labor has completely and utterly changed in 80 years and comparing the two is like apples and oranges.
