- rainbowzootsuit 4y agoProbably a better compromise is stainless press-style fittings. The tools are going to be much too expensive for the average homeowner plumbing needs, but they work out in the commercial sector or for professional plumbers. MegaPress and ProPress are a couple of popular brands. The also have an advantage that they avoid "hot work" in places where it leads to greater regulation / stringent safety precautions.
